The Province of British Columbia is located in the extreme southwestern part of Canada, in the Continent of North America. The broad Fraser delta, behind Vancouver to the south, is the largest of the limited coastal lowlands. Its main cities include Vancouver, one of the largest ports of Canada and of western North America, and Victoria, the provincial capital, located on the southeastern tip of Vancouver Island.
